Look no further, this is the place you want to stay at if you are looking for Tuscany scenery, great (and I mean great) food and wine. We stayed at the Julia "suite" and it was rustic with a ton of charm. Great beds. The food at the restaurant is at a very high standard and our waiter (you know who you are) was also excellent. We were a party of 8 and was welcomed and taken care of from the first minute. The "rooftop" terrace gives you a great view and is excellent for a late evening bottle of wine. If you are here for a wine tasting, Sarah is your girl. Very knowledgeable and service minded. We hope to come back one day.

wonderful remodeled/adapted village fortifications. rooms were beautifully adapted. decent rooms. reasonably comfortable considering the country setting. excellent restaurant on the premises open for lunch and dinner. Wine tastings organized on site (book ahead). insist on having Nicola as your sommelier, he’s both knowledgeable and a delight— he will make your day. Great wines to be had in this house. Reception/check in experience can be improved. Guest spend a lot of money and make a massive trip to get there. So the welcome and check out can be improved.

A small medieval village transforme into a winery and hotel with an excellent selection of chianti wines and amazing views of a Tuscany landscape. The wine degustation and explanation of the region and wine elaboration were mastered by Nicola who is an expert wine connoisseur. We definitely coming back!!

Wow, what a great experience! Staff was so accomodating, we were delayed due to flights, no problem they changed our arrival. Needed covid tests, they arranged for those. So amazing to stay in an ancient place converted for agritourism! All the creature comforts in the suite, AC, dual showerheads, refrigerator. The views from the windows are stunningly gorgeous! Beautiful Chianti! Breakfast is included in the rate and is fantastic. Big selections of eggs, fruits, meats, breads, etc. that changes somewhat each day. Coffee is to order. Be prepared to drive on windy roads to get here, but it is so worth it!!

A great hotel, and exceptional restaurant! Our room was beautiful with amazing views and an amazing terrace. We expected a bath or special shower for a superior room though. Breakfast was ok although a buffet during COVID does not seem the best option... Highly recommend!

Visited for a wine tasting. Host was excellent and friendly, wine was very good and the views are stunning. My friends stayed here and I am sure they would recommend highly.

We vacationed in June 2016 and stayed for 1 week. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The rooms were amazing and the staff very pleasant and helpful. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the company of friends. You do need a car to get around to visit other cities. We loved it! Lily, Gloria, JoAnne

Enjoyed a wonderful visit to this former fortress with marvellous countryside views. A tour of the cellars with our guide Azzurra from Viaggi d’Ambra was followed by a delicious tasting of bread and oil and a number of superb wines.
